 Gooseberry Hinnonmaki green

Gooseberry Hinnonmaki Green is a very hardy mid season gooseberry. The medium to large greenish fruit has an excellent sweet, aromatic flavour, with a hint of apricot and offers good disease resistance.

Gooseberry Hinnonmaki red

Hinnomaki Red is a variety from Finland with superb flavor, high yields, and a beautiful red fruit color. The outer skin is tangy while the flesh is sweet. The plants grow upright and are mildew resistant. These very productive plants are adaptable to various growing systems, hedge or ornamental. The sweet berries can be eaten fresh or baked in a pie. This is truly an outstanding variety.

 

Gooseberry Hinnonmaki Yellow

This dessert variety produces heavy crops of very large yellow fruit. The flavour is excellent and the bush has good resistance to American Gooseberry Mildew. Ripens mid July.

Gooseberry Invicta

One of the heaviest cropping varieties available, Gooseberry ‘Invicta’ produces almost twice as much fruit as other varieties, from late May onwards. The flavoursome, smooth skinned fruits stay firm and retain their shape when cooked, making excellent pies and preserves. This vigorous RHS AGM variety also has excellent mildew resistance. Height and spread: 120cm (48”).

 

Gooseberry Whinhams Industry

Bred in the U.K. Whinham’s industry is one of the most widely grown red dessert varieties. The bush is vigorous and does well on most soils. Well-flavoured when ripe and suitable for culinary use. The berries are medium to large in size, red, almost purple when ripe. Ripens late July. RHS Award of Garden Merit

 

Gooseberry Whitesmith

Greenish-yellow, mid season, large, good culinary, heavy cropper.. Ripe from late July.

GOOSEBERRY CARELESS

This is a reliable cooking variety,very hardy and with a good flavour. The bush has a spreading habit. Unripe fruit is used for compote and ripe fruit for fresh eating, jams and preserving. ..This is a bare rooted bush with several stems about 15ins high will fruit next year,suitable for immediate planting.
